Squads

GERALDTON AMATEUR SWIMMING CLUB CURRENTLY HAS 4 SQUADS:

 

Pirahna    

Pirahna is our entry level squad for those swimmers needing stroke correction and development. The minimum requirement for this squad is that children must possess confidence in the water and be able to swim one length of the 50m pool confidently. This squad offers 4 pool sessions per week. No board shorts or rashies permitted as this interferes with technique development.

Equipment: Swimmers must supply own LONG fins

  

Barracuda

Barracuda is the next level up from the Piranha’s. This squad will focus predominately on fitness with an introduction into competitive swimming along with stroke correction. This squad offers 4 pool sessions per week

Equipment: Swimmers must supply own LONG fins

 

Mako

Mako is for those swimmers that are a more advanced than Barracuda and their main focus is on Competitive Swimming, however non-competitive swimmers may swim in this squad also. This squad offers 8 pool sessions along with 1 dryland training per week.

Equipment: Swimmers must supply own LONG fins.

 

Marlin

Marlin is for the more experienced swimmer who possesses a high level of fitness and offers an intensive training schedule. This squad is predominately for those swimmers wishing to compete at either State or National Level or for those swimmers that are after a longer more intense workout to maintain fitness levels.

Equipment: Swimmers must supply own Long fins and Hand Paddles and Snorkle
